Test #1: Space Dust
We used the finest particles we could get our hands on, and our gutter guards lived up to the challenge. We’re not saying you should drink the moon water that filters through our gutter guards, but we’re not saying you couldn’t, either.
Test #2: Astroids/Moon Rocks
Although we didn’t have real moon rocks available, we tested our gutter guards against a variety of heavy debris. Plus, if our gutter guards can withstand large pine cones even with Earth’s gravity bringing them down, then a bunch of zero-g space rocks should be no different.
Test #3: Space Elements
We supply gutter guards to homes all over North America, including some very, very cold regions. But this is space we’re talking about. With seriously-way-below-zero temperatures. We know our gutter guards can survive the brutal winters of some of the coldest places in North America, but can they hold out against the frozen frontier of space? (Spoiler alert: They can.)
Heads up: If you’re afraid of heights, you might want to hang on to a buddy while you watch this. It goes aaalll the way up. (Try not to tip over during the spinning parts, too.)
We did it!
They went up, up, up, took a good look around, and came back in one piece. Our mission to space was successful! Not only did we safely launch and come back, but we did so with a product that remained fully intact throughout the entire journey. The dust, the space pinecones, the cold – our guards held up against whatever they encountered up there.
So, in the (perhaps not too distant?) future, if you find yourself with cluttered gutters on your new lunar home, you know who to order your gutter guards from. Just be prepared for a slightly longer delivery window.
